TapeEz is a smart, no-nonsense adhesive tape cutter designed to make taping quicker, cleaner, and frustration-free. Available in three sizes and a high-visibility colour, it’s always easy to grab when you need it.
It all started with a simple frustration: battling a roll of tape. This frustration led me to invent TapeEz: a simple cutter that clips onto a tape roll, cuts cleanly, and always keeps the end easy to find. The first prototype was handmade from Fimo clay, with a blade repurposed from a tin of sardines.
It was the constant cutting of tiny pieces of tape with scissors—and sometimes even with my teeth—while developing a range of pendant shades for my KaiGami project that the idea first manifested. The patent for TapeEz was granted in 2010 by the UK Patent Office; click here to view the patent.
